7 Coffins

Our story opens at the confluence of two millennia.  It is a time of newfound wealth as the end of the 19th century gives way to the 20th century.  One ushered in by the Industrial Revolution…steel, automobiles, railroads, and steamships fuel employment.  The growth of world economies is meteoric.  Comparatively speaking, families enjoy a more comfortable lifestyle afforded by steady incomes.  And there is even an entitlement to a modicum of leisure time and those pleasures that accompany leisure.   There is, however, a darker side to this tide of prosperity.  Innocence is lost.  Man, no longer shackled to the plow, has idle time to explore new interests, some at the seamier corners of imagination.  And there are those more than willing to cater to man’s sinful desires.

Yet this depravity has not gone unnoticed.  A higher authority’s patience has now run out, and He takes action to expel the 7 Deadly Sins.  His instrument for cleansing is a man, Zadok Malachi, who has a rather unique talent.  Zadok is a purveyor of coffins.  Magnificent coffins fashioned with a singular purpose.  To be gifted to the surrogates of the 7 Deadly Sins.  A gift that can not be refused.  Zadok Malachi’s quest takes him to the four corners of our planet in pursuit of his assignment and those surrogates who will be recipients of his craft.

Have you the courage to delve into this story?  Once entered, there is no turning back.
